China has re-emerged onto the world stage. Its increasing economic, political and spiritual influence is evident for all to see. The Chinese churches have also come into their own as genuinely Chinese communities, bearing a prophetic word to their own society and the rest of the world. Their rapid growth has led to great complexity, belying the traditional certainties of patriotic or underground affiliation.

As Christians we have much to gain through sharing the experiences of Chinese Christians and supporting them in applying the gospel of Christ to their own lives, churches and culture. This is an exciting, stimulating and challenging time to be in partnership with Chinese churches.
