This day-long event explored the local, national and international implications of borders on communities, including their impact on the most vulnerable in societies, such as refugees.
It was also a forum to brings together an array of organisations, groups and individuals from across Britain and Ireland who are engaged in asylum and refugee work in some capacity, and showcased the great work taking place by both Church and secular groups in this area.

Ex-President of the Methodist Church in Ireland and co-founder of the Africa Centre in Ireland. Author of two books and several articles, and a member of the City of Sanctuary Movement . - Zrinka Bralo
Zrinka Bralo has been the CEO of Migrants Organise since 2001 and is a refugee from Sarajevo. Founder of the Women on the Move Awards, and winner of the 2011 Voices of Courage Award by the Women’s Refugee Commission in New York. - Professor Katy Hayward
Professor of Political Sociology at Queen’s University Belfast and a Senior Fellow of the UK in a Changing Europe thinktank. She is an internationally recognised expert on Brexit and Northern Ireland/Ireland, particularly with respect to the Irish border. - Dr Torsten Moritz

Bishop of Bradwell in the Diocese of Chelmsford (Church of England) and Bishop-elect of Liverpool. Dr Perumbalath was born in India and ordained in the Church of North India in 1994. - Dr Nicola Brady
General Secretary, Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. Dr Brady has experience in faith-based peace-building both in Ireland and internationally. - Richard Reddie
Director of Justice and Inclusion at Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. He is a writer, researcher, cultural and religious commentator and broadcaster. He is the author of three books and the editor of the new publication, Race for Justice. - Jonny Clark
Programme Manager for Public Theology for the Corrymeela Community, Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation organisation. Jonny has been instrumental in launching and developing peace building initiatives, and has significant experience in mediation.
