Vacancies at Mercy Ships

May 20, 2022 By Web Editor

Mercy Ships logoMercy Ships takes medical expertise and supplies to help eradicate the diseases of poverty and deprivation, giving others life and wellness instead of death and debilitation. Its goal is not only to have a transformational impact on individual lives through the healthcare it provides but also to see a lasting impact on the societies and communities that have been involved. Sharing its skills and knowledge with local medical experts enables them to contribute directly to the improvement of healthcare delivery in their country long after Mercy Ships has left.

As Mercy Ships launches its five year strategy, it is adding several roles to help it achieve its ambitious targets.

Deadlines: 27 May 2022.

To apply: please email a CV and covering letter.

Corporate Partnerships Manager

Mercy Ships is looking for an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal role in developing and leading the organisation’s Corporate Partnerships Programme within the UK. As Mercy Ships launches its new five-year strategy, a strong CSR offering will be essential. The role holder will be required to develop, nurture and tailor relationships to match desired corporate engagement with Mercy Ships’ needs. You’ll work closely with the Engagement team and Development team to produce an inspiring programme to attract new partners, building collaborative connections across the network to achieve income growth and volunteers.

Head of Communications

Mercy Ships is looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Communications to join the organisation at a time of growth and opportunity to help lead in the Mercy Ships’ brand image and development.

This role is vital to the successful delivery of Mercy Ships’ UK five-year strategy to double income, overseeing the internal and external communications to define a clear brand in the UK, and continuing to build the organisation’s profile within its target audiences managing a newly restructured department.

The post holder will be responsible for owning the unique messaging of MSUK, developing a communications and PR strategy that builds profile and understanding in Mercy Ships’ target audiences, whilst working collaboratively with the Global Brand Team and all UK teams. Overseeing the implementation of UK brand, core messaging and tone of voice within the UK team, developing a team of spokespeople who are trained to act as thought leaders representing Mercy Ships in core media.

Working closely with the Head of Communications, the successful candidate will produce concepts, design and artwork across the organisation’s print and digital channels, and form an integral part of its marketing team. Mercy Ships is looking for someone who understands the organisation’s mission and is full of ideas about how to convey it in fresh, vibrant ways to a variety of audiences. This is a chance to work for a pioneering, unique charity that genuinely transforms people’s lives.
