A public consultation on caste discrimination in Britain has been launched by the UK government.
The consultation looks at how the law can prohibit caste discrimination either through developing case-law or by specifying caste in the Equality Act.
This follows on from a feasibility study on measuring caste discrimination in Britain published on 28 March 2017.
Churches and Christian organisations are being encouraged to respond to the consultation. The deadline for submissions is 17 July 2017.
