A UK All-Party Parliamentary report looking at the assessment of religion-based asylum claims has found a high level of ignorance by some Home Office officials toward Christian asylum seekers, reports Focus on Refugees.
‘Bible trivia’ questions which have been used as part of an application to stay in the UK have been shown to be a very poor way of assessing an asylum claim from those who have converted to Christianity and have resulted in incorrect decisions and the need for costly appeals.
