A report looking at the Inter Faith Network’s past, present and future including extremism, hatred and interfaith engagement; education and dialogue; communicating in the digital world; and cooperating for the common good, has been published by IFN.
It details the talks from the 30th anniversary national meeting of IFN held in July 2017 at the QE II Conference Centre, London, where nearly 150 people from around the UK, and from many of IFN’s member bodies, were welcomed by Co-Chair of the Inter Faith Network for the UK, the Rt Revd Richard Atkinson OBE.
The report includes reflections on themes of the day, as well as notes from the discussion groups looking at engaging faith communities on social issues; youth and interfaith engagement; opening up difficult dialogues and engaging with tough topics; the safety and security of faith communities; developing guidance to reflect and support the work of local inter faith organisations; social media; and sharing of good practice internationally.
