Churches are being invited to take part in Sanctuary Sunday – the Sunday at the end of Refugee Week – 24th June 2018.
Ideas for Sanctuary Sunday include:
- Invite and welcome refugees, with due faith sensitivities, to share in a gathering. This could include sharing worship, prayer, food, and listening to refugee speakers.
- Use the Sanctuary for All resource, prepared by Inderjit Bhogal, for group study and discussion. The resource includes ideas for worship.
- Consider becoming a Sanctuary Church – see page 44 of Sanctuary for All.
See the Refugee Week website to search for or register Sanctuary Sunday events.
