A Prayer for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) has been written by the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ) reflecting this year’s theme of the ‘fragility of freedom’. It is also available to download as a bilingual Welsh/English document (below).
As always, CCJ is encouraging Christians to observe the day and has published some general guidance for commemorating the day on its website. Material about the theme can be found on the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust’s website.

About Holocaust Memorial Day
Holocaust memorial Day is an opportunity to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and the millions of people killed under Nazi persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. The 27th of January marks the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.
