Church Action on Poverty
Church Action on Poverty is a national ecumenical Christian social justice charity, committed to tackling poverty in the UK. It works in partnership with churches and people in poverty to find solutions to poverty, locally, nationally and globally. It is a Body in Association with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI).
Church Action on Poverty Sunday
Church Action on Poverty Sunday is an annual event which aims to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
End Hunger UK
Church Action on Poverty is part of the campaign launched by 11 charities in October 2016 to end hunger in the UK.
Housing Justice
Housing Justice is a national voice for Christian action in the area of housing and homelessness. It supports night shelters, drop-ins and practical projects by providing advice and training for churches and other community groups who work with homeless people. It is a Body in Association with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI).
The Welsh arm of Housing Justice, Housing Justice Cymru, was launched in 2016.
Homeless Sunday
Each year, Housing Justice organises Homeless Sunday to help churches focus on the issue of homelessness.
Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT)
The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) works on behalf of the Baptist Union, the Methodist Church, the Church of Scotland (since March 2015) and the United Reformed Church in the area of public issues.
One of the issues that JPIT campaigns on is poverty and inequality, including Universal Credit.
