Lampedusa: ‘Door to Europe’ construction which looks out to North Africa
A ‘Pilgrim Team Visit’ to Italy took place from 20-25 May 2022, focused on migration and refugee matters in that country. The trip was facilitated by the Churches’ Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME), and hosted by the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI), and was part of the wider World Council of Churches (WCC) Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace (PJP) programme that revolved around the WCC Assembly theme: ‘Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity’.
