London Churches Refugee Fund’s annual speaker meeting takes place on 24 May 2023, 7pm, at the RC Church of the Immaculate Conception, Mount Street, London W1K 3AH.
Speakers
- Bishop McAleenan, Lead Bishop for Migrants and Refugees, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.
- Bishop John Perumbalath, Bishop of Liverpool and Chair of the Churches Refugee Network (CRN).
There will also be speakers from frontline projects supported by the London Churches Refugee Fund.
The event will be of interest to Christians across London, particularly in the current climate surrounding Government plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda and the charges of ‘illegality’ surrounding the proposed new asylum legislation. The bishops will be responding to these events and crises.
It also features musicians from the Choir of the World, an all refugee choir, and the musicians Ooberfuse who have agreed to play the song Show me Love.
Afterwards there will be refreshments and an opportunity to network.
