A new set of non-academic Lambeth Awards have been announced by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, to recognise outstanding service in various fields, including ecumenism.
The Lambeth Cross for Ecumenism has been awarded to Bishop Angaelos, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom and Moderator of the CTBI trustees; Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain (Greek Orthodox Church); and Canon Simon Stephens, who founded The Compassionate Friends.
The awards will be presented by Justin Welby during a ceremony at Lambeth Palace on 31st March 2016.
