HOPE 2018 and Prison HOPE

November 16, 2016 By Web Editor

HOPE is preparing for another year of mission to reach local communities through words and actions during 2018.

This has the ambitious aim of bringing about a 10% growth across the whole Church, said Roy Crowne, Executive Director of HOPE, at the launch in October 2016.

‘When we come together to serve the Church we are so much stronger’, he commented.

HOPE wants to use the significance of Easter, in particular, to reach out to people and is preparing a high quality book, similar to the one produced for the Queen’s 90th birthday, that Christians will be encouraged to give away.

It is also piloting a magazine this Christmas that Christians can give to every home in their community. The demand has already been such that HOPE has raised the print run from 50,000 to 70,000. The front cover will feature food writer and TV presenter, Mary Berry, who will talk about her faith within the magazine.

There are more details of HOPE 2018, including videos of the launch, on the HOPE website.

Prison HOPE

HOPE has also launched Prison HOPE to help prison ministeries work together.

‘Chaplains would love the Church to see the prison in their parish as part of their parish’, said Roy Crowne.

HOPE is also going to produce a book containing stories of lives that have been changed through meeting Christ, with the aim of giving it to all 85,000 people in our prisons.

You can find more information on Prison HOPE on the HOPE website.
