This one day conference, United We Stand, explores the importance of unity and solidarity amongst diverse ethnic communities in Wales in the context of Brexit and the Hostile Environment.
It is a joint event between the Ethnic Minorities & Youth Support Team (EYST) Wales and the Race Alliance Wales. EYST Wales originally aimed to fill a gap in support service provision for young BME people aged 11-25 but has since expanded its mission and vision to also meet the needs of BME young people, families and individuals including refugees and asylum-seekers living in Wales. Race Alliance Wales is an alliance of individuals and organisations working to challenge race inequality in Wales.
The event is sponsored by National Assembly for Wales member Jane Hutt, as part of EYST’s All Wales BAME Engagement Programme.
