An ecumenical prayer service is being held in St James’ Roman Catholic Church, London, between noon and 12.45pm on Sat 17 September 2106. This takes place ahead of a #RefugeesWelcome march leaving Park Lane for Parliament Square at 1.30pm.
There is also an event in Edinburgh outside the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood between 2 and 5PM.
These meetings take place ahead of the United Nations Migration Summit in New York on Monday 19 September 2016. Campaigners in London will transform Parliament Square into a graveyard of lifejackets representing the thousands of refugees who have died trying to reach Europe.
