Dr Isabel Apawo Phiri will present this year’s David Goodbourn Lecture on ‘Caring for people, water and Earth’. It takes up the World Council of Churches (WCC) theme for 2020 of Pilgrimage, expressing concerns for justice and care for creation in our world today.
Dr Phiri is an academic and professor within the field of African Theology and part of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians. She is the Deputy General Secretary for Public Witness at the WCC.
The lecture is being organised by the Centre for Theology and Justice, and Luther King House.
