Churches Together in Wales (Cytûn) has produced its Advent newsletter with highlights of how it has fulfilled its mission during 2018.
It includes details of Cytûn’s policy work on behalf of the Welsh churches sharing information and responding to the developments as the UK prepared to leave the European Union. The Wales and Europe Working Party organised two public meetings – in Lampeter and Llandudno – where there was an opportunity to hear the views of Church members and others. Comments made at those meetings helped the working group respond to a number of consultations by the UK and Welsh Governments, and the Westminster and Wales Parliaments.
Cytûn also discussed with the Home Office how churches in Wales can help with the new Settled Status system for European Union citizens living in Wales. Grants will be available from the Home Office to help churches with this work and more details can be obtained from Cytûn.
The newsletter can be downloaded from the Cytûn website.
