A National Ecumenical Officer and an Advisor for European Church relations are being sought by the Council for Christian Unity at the Church of England.
The Council for Christian Unity supports ecumenical working at all levels of the Church of England and advises the Archbishops, the Archbishops’ Council, the General Synod and the House of Bishops on issues and proposals relating to Christian unity.
The National Ecumenical Officer will ‘promote, sustain and develop the Church of England’s ecumenical relations at every level, with a focus on mission and evangelism’. The Advisor for the European Church is a similar role dealing with the Church of England’s relations with churches in Continental Europe, with a particular focus on its relationship with the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) under the Meissen Agreement.
For both roles, applications need to be received by 21 May 2017.
