Climate Justice Means Migrant Justice resources

June 16, 2023 By Web Editor

For Refugee Week (19–25 June 2023), the Climate Justice Coalition and War on Want have put together resources from across the movement linking climate justice and migrant justice, with suggestions for ways to get involved and support migrant groups both locally and online.

The resources introduce and explore some of the aspects of the complex intersection between climate justice and migrant justice, including national borders and security and Britain’s ‘hostile environment’, with links to further resources to follow up on issues.

View the resources online at climatejustice.uk/migrantjustice/.

Members of The Climate Justice Coalition include CAFOD, Christian Aid, Eco-Congregation Scotland and Quakers in Britain.

Sanctuary Sunday

Sanctuary Sunday is marked at the end of Refugee Week, Sunday 25 June 2023, and aims to promote the Church of Sanctuary programme, building cultures of welcome, hospitality and safety in our churches.

See our listing for resources available for Sanctuary Sunday, including Sanctuary: The Hospitality of Host, Guest and Stranger.

Season of Creation

Resources are becoming available for the Season of Creation / Creation Time, 1 September – 4 October 2023. The theme for the main international resources is Let Justice and Peace Flow, calling us to join the river of justice and peace, to take up climate and ecological justice, and to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.
