Join us via Zoom for this Churches’ Refugee Network (CRN) Annual Meeting to hear about the work of the CRN with the churches in Britain and Ireland on refugee and asylum-related matters.
This will be an opportunity to hear from the Bishop of Liverpool, the Rt Revd Dr John Perumbalath, CRN’s Chair, who will talk about its work with the churches in Britain and Ireland on refugee and asylum-related matters.
At this year’s gathering, our guest speaker is Dr Torsten Moritz from Churches Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME) who will be exploring the refugee crisis in Europe and how it dovetails with the emergency on these shores. Torsten will explain how the churches in Europe are responding to this matter and will highlight the CCME’s work in this.
We will also be hearing from Emma Kevan and her colleagues from the Boaz Trust, a Manchester-based charity supporting people who have become homeless after claiming asylum. This dynamic charity supports people seeking safety, who are in need of hospitality, not hostility.
