Church of the Poor? Conference 19 Nov 2016

What does Pope Francis’s challenge to be a ‘church of the poor’ actually mean?

This is the theme of Church Action on Poverty’s annual conference from 10am to 4pm on Sat 19 November 2016 at Cross Street Chapel, Manchester.

The conference will address:

• What is our shared vision of a Good Society?
• How does a Good Society include people struggling with poverty or other forms of marginalisation or exclusion?
• How can we enable the insights and gifts of people living in poverty to be recognised by wider society, and those with power and influence?

The programme will include prayers and shared worship, inspiring stories, roundtable and panel discussions, and the Church Action on Poverty AGM.
