Hope is encouraging churches to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday within their communities on Sunday 12 June 2016. While the Queen’s birthday was on April 21, there will be events during May and June 2016, with The Patron’s Lunch, a street party in the Mall with 10,0000 guests, on 21 June 2016.
To coincide with the Queen’s 90th birthday, Hope, the Bible Society and the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (LICC), have produced a 60 page souvenir book The Servant Queen and the King She Serves, celebrating the Queen’s birthday and her faith journey. Hope says the book uses the Queen’s own words to draw out the central role of her trust in Jesus Christ, and includes a foreword from the Queen herself. The book is intended to be given as a gift from christians and churches to people in workplaces and the community.
The Leaders of Worship and Preachers Trust (LWPT) has produced an Order of Service that can be used at thanksgiving services, available from CPO.
