For International Migrants Day, Kent Refugee Action Network, Churches Together Folkestone and members of the local community have staged a refugee nativity on a beach to show how anyone can become a refugee and demonstrate what a real #ChristmasWelcome would look like to those seeking sanctuary.
The scene shows the arrival on the beach of ‘Mary and ‘Joseph’ in a boat played by Rishan and Grmalem, an Ambassador and a Trainee with Kent Refugee Action Network. Both are Christians and refugees from Eritrea. They were then welcomed by members of the local Folkestone community.
