This year’s Christian Aid Week features stories from Burundi, where many families struggle to meet daily needs and people are pushed to the brink of survival.
With a UK General Election approaching, Christian Aid is also keen for you to involve prospective Parliamentary candidates, to tell them that the Church cares about poverty and that you expect them to act on poverty too if they are elected. Christian Aid has produced resources to help with this including top tips, suggestions on what to ask candidates and an Act on Poverty checklist.
Worship resources take the theme of ‘Extraordinary Love‘, exploring God’s love for us and our call to love our neighbour.
The Christian Aid website includes a wide range of resources, available to order or download (many in English and/or Welsh), including collection and donation envelopes, posters, a Christian Aid Week film, a devotional with 7 days of prayers and reflections, an order of service, sermon notes, Powerpoint, prayer sheet, all-age versions and promotional material.
