Christian Aid Week 10 – 16 May 2021

May 5, 2021 By Web Editor

Christian Aid logoThis year’s Christian Aid Week focuses on the climate crisis. This hurts us all, but people living in poverty fight the worst of it every day – from drought to flooding, climate change robs people of control over their lives.

There are many ways to take part including hosting a virtual event, taking the 300,000 step challenge to get fit and raise funds, and using the iconic Christian Aid Week envelope – with classic house to house collections, delivery only collections or sending an e-envelope. Christian Aid is monitoring the coronavirus situation carefully but hopes house-to-house collections will be possible. It appreciates that risk levels vary across the country, and government guidance is continuing to change, so requests that you check the latest advice for the restrictions in your area.

Resources

Christian Aid has made a wide range of resources available to download or order including:

  • Devotional (English and Welsh): Seven days of prayers and reflections.
  • Global Lord’s Prayer  and Christian Aid Week prayer films.
  • Order of Service – Songs of the Prophets, including Powerpoint.
  • River of prayer resource.
  • Sermon notes.
  • All-age talk and activities.
  • Church posters (English and Welsh)
  • Resources for collections, including envelopes and badges.
  • Resources for a Big Brekkie.

For more details, see the Christian Aid website.
