Beloved is an engaging evening of poetry and music reflecting the aspirations of our time for a world centred on equality between people and harmony with creation. Motivated by Martin Luther King’s vision of a ‘Beloved Community’, the selection of Gospel music and inspirational poetry tells a hopeful story in difficult times.
These original shows ‘combine powerful words with inspiring music in a way that is entertaining, thought-provoking, and uplifting. Beloved promises to be no exception and will be appropriate for the weekend of Easter’.
The show acknowledges the experience of exclusion and abandonment of too many yet moves the audience to a belief in the possibility of a new way of being in the world.
