Many asylum seekers worship in our churches and join in the life of the local church. As part of an asylum hearing, Church ministers may be called to testify as to the genuineness of an applicant’s Christian faith.
The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) has updated its briefing offering general guidance. Although the example refers to a URC congregation, it is intended to be used by all denominations and to be adapted as required.
