Asylum applications and Christian beliefAsylum applications and Christian belief

Church ministers may be called to testify as to the genuineness of an applicant’s Christian faith during an asylum hearing. This briefing from the Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT), updated in May 2018, offers general guidance and, although the example refers to a URC congregation, it is intended to be used by all denominations and to be adapted as required.
