There is an opportunity to meet other families that belong to more than one Christian denomination at the Association of Interchurch Families (AIF) weekend, October 22-23 2016, at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick Derbyshire.
This year’s focus is The future for ‘the Family’ after Rome. Following the two synods of the Roman Catholic Church which met to discuss issues concerning the family in 2014 and 2015, Bishop Tim Thornton, President of AIF, and Bishop Peter Doyle, Chair of the Roman Catholic Bishops’ Committee for Marriage and Family Life, will talk about their experiences as participant and observer at the second synod and reflect on the outcomes of the discussions.
Central to the weekend are worship and prayer for all ages. There will be a Roman Catholic Mass and another service, this year in the Anglican tradition.
For further details download the AIF weekend information and booking form or see the AIF website.
