Churches, faith-based communities and other organisations around the world are being invited by the World Council of Churches (WCC) to join together for a week of prayer for just peace for all in Palestine and Israel. The week includes the International Day of Prayer for Peace on 21 September 2018.
The theme for the week is the status of children and youth in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict: From Victims to Peacemakers.
A resource is available to download outlining the challenges facing youth and children in the context of the Palestine-Israel conflict, including access to school, child arrest and detention, access to employment, and fear and trauma. The resource also details the hopes and opportunities for youth as peacemakers, as well as prayers.
