Behind closed doors – voices against gender-based violence, human trafficking and modern-day slavery, was initiated in the autumn of 2015 to address the situation of women in relation to human trafficking and modern slavery. The report assesses the challenges and opportunities facing the churches and the particular contribution which the Pentecostal Churches can play in relation to women at risk within their networks and the communities they serve.
It results from a research project, commissioned by Churches Together in England (CTE) and made possible through a legacy gift of the former Leicester Free Church Women’s Council.
The report’s author is Revd Dr Carrie Pemberton Ford, Cambridge Centre for Applied Research in Human Trafficking, Cambridge.
