Positive Action in Housing has started a petition calling for the UK Government to allow home owners in the UK to take in Syrian refugees under the VPR scheme. The organisation says only 1,602 Syrian refugees have so far been resettled since September 2015, falling short of the target of resettling 5,000 refugees a year under the Vulnerable Persons Scheme.
