Cytûn (Churches Together in Wales) and the Church in Wales have organised a number of events across Wales to debate the EU referendum. The aim is to help inform people about the EU and separate ‘fact from mud-slinging’, says Canon Carol Wardman, Bishops’ adviser for Church and Society for the Church in Wales.
7 June – Abergavenny
A public discussion evening with Baroness Shirley Williams. Called A Question of Europe, it takes place at the Priory Centre, Abergavenny, on 7 June at 7pm. It is free and all are welcome.
10 June – Llandudno
Professor Brian Merfyn Jones of Bangor University will be the main speaker at Holy Trinity Church Hall on June 10 at 7.30pm. He will be joined by Canon Carol Wardman and Graham Morgan from the Methodist Church.
21 June – Swansea
Panel will include Professor John Loughlin of Cambridge University, Lila Haines from Egino (a Community Interest Company), Pam Mason, and the Archbishop of Wales’ chaplain, Revd Dr Mark Dimond. It will take place at St David’s Church, Penllergaer at 7.30pm.
