A new pro-forma constitution for use by local Churches Together groups has been produced by Churches Together in England (CTE).
Local groups are being encouraged to compare their constitutions against this new one, or create one based on it if they don’t currently have one.
Jenny Bond, responsible for training, resourcing and events at CTE said:
‘A good constitution describes how you operate. It does not require you to jump through unnecessary hoops. It allows you to do what you want to do, allows for future growth and protects you in various different ways. Our pro-forma offers guidelines and tells you to change it to suit your own circumstances.’
The pro-forma constitution for local Churches Together groups can be downloaded from the CTE website.
